Sammy Hagar Looking to Sell Chateau Outside L.A. for $4.7M

Rocker Sammy Hagar recently reduced the ask on his Lake Arrowhead estate to $4.7 million. The former Van Halen frontman has owned the home since 2013, but appears to be shucking a few vacation properties; earlier this year, he sold his Maui escape for just over $3 million.

Lake Arrowhead is located a comfortable 80 miles outside of downtown Los Angeles, and this French chateau-style manse sits in a sylvan neighborhood in the enclave. The 6,557-square-foot home was built in 2009 and contains eight bedrooms and 8.5 baths.

Tucked on a wooded hillside, luxurious features like walnut flooring, beamed ceilings, and a grand hand-carved limestone fireplace give the home a modified French countryside-influenced character all its own. It boasts large entertaining spaces that include a family room, living room, formal dining room, and a kitchen suitable for catering; a granite wet bar, wood-paneled game room, sound-proof music room, and large second-story patio fit the bill for parties.

The sprawling master suite features grand 30-foot ceilings, a cedar sauna, a steam shower, and a balcony. A separate guesthouse, grill, fire pit, and spa fill out the grounds with as much R&R potential as possible.

The Red Rocker originally listed the property for $5.9 million, but considering he originally paid about $2.3 million, he’s still set to make a solid return on his investment.
