Iconic entertainer Cher recently listed her Beverly Hills home for $2.499 million.
The singer and actress purchased the Beverly Crest house about five years ago, and set about updating the English Country-style residence. The house dates to 1957, and certain period features remain, most notably the ‘intersecting planes’ roofline that is decidedly midcentury. Reclaimed wood floors, vaulted ceilings, recessed fixtures; rustic and modern blend here. But brick, stone and timber give the home an earthy warmth that predominates.
The 3,100-square-foot home features a fairly open layout, with a combination living-dining room complete with several sets of French doors, exposed ceiling beams, and a central fireplace. The other two fireplaces in the home are located in the office and the master suite, and there are four bedrooms overall.
The eat-in kitchen has a convenient built-in breakfast booth, and, although compact, it boasts new kitchen appliances. The backyard is perfect for quiet moments with a spacious deck, a lush green lawn, a koi pond, and a spa all voicing R&R.
Cher’s acting career has included roles in films ‘Silkwood’ and ‘The Witches of Eastwick’; the Oscar-winner will once again hit silver screens in “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.”
