Steve Miller of the Steve Miller Band has reduced the ask on his Washington State home to $12.9 million.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has cut his asking price for the San Juan Islands residence by more than $5 million. The home is a truly magnificent wooded retreat set right off of Friday Harbor. The property has been on and off the market for about four years. The location is fairly rural.
The 11,000-square-foot post-and-beam home is packed with raw wood; the woodwork was locally sourced. Stacked stone adds even more texture to the interiors, but an undercurrent of modern design keeps the lines clean and embellishment to a minimum.
The setting is spectacular for the private prop-plane and fly-fishing set: 39 lush and tree-filled acres about 40 minutes outside of Seattle. The three-bedroom, four-bath home offers a secluded place to retreat and recharge; water, forest, and incredible views tell the tale.
Future owners will also enjoy 300 feet of water frontage, a deep-water dock, a horse pasture, Zen gardens, a Japanese-style teahouse, and a number of other separate structures like a barn and greenhouse. And a recording studio in the basement that might record the next hit record.
The Steve Miller Band’s string of 1970’s hits includes ‘Jungle Love’ and ‘Fly Like an Eagle.’
