A-Rod and J-Lo scored a deal after submitting an offer on this $17.5 million condo in midtown Manhattan. The celebrity couple paid $15.3 million for the property, a slightly more than 4,000 square-foot unit in 432 Park Ave.

432 Park currently takes the prize as the tallest building in the western hemisphere. The tower reaches 1,396 feet toward the firmament above the not-so-mean streets of contemporary Midtown, and commands thrilling, if potentially vertigo-inducing, eagle-eye views of the rest of the city. Upper level apartments, therefore, hold positions of extraordinary privilege.

J-Rod owns a unit on the 69th floor of the 96-story building, which was completed in 2015. Aside from its extraordinary heavenly aspirations, 432 Park is distinguished by its otherwise unpretentious architecture, its heavy use of glass (10’ by 10’ windows), and its comprehensive views of the city.

J-Rod’s unit contains three bedrooms and five baths. The residence, like the others in the building, is decked out with extravagant materials, including custom hardware, book-matched marble, freestanding soaking tubs, and a great deal of oak. The design sensibility is minimalist-luxe, keeping with the trend in high-fashion high-rise buildings in 2015. Nearly 13’ ceilings give the residences a potent sense of ideal possibility.

There are 30,000 square feet of amenities in 432 Park Ave., including a fitness center with spa and massage rooms, library, billiards room, and screening room.
