Luxury automaker Lexus has announced the production phase of its Sport Yacht. The slick-looking craft first appeared as a concept early last year.

Lexus has opted to make the production model even larger than the concept; the company is clearly upping the ‘wow’ factor in order to make a splash to rival the production yacht projects launched by competitors Mercedes and Porsche.

Although few details about the production model have been released, we do know that the Lexus Sport Yacht will boast more entertaining space than was offered in the concept. Additionally, the production model will stretch to 65 feet, and boast enough room to comfortably accommodate 15 guests.

In addition to a series of staterooms located below deck, the luxury vessel will also be equipped with advanced technological elements, including smartphone integration, advanced security, and remote diagnostics.

The concept boasts a carbon-fiber hull, inner structure, and superstructure, and is powered by marine editions of five-liter V8 engines.

Lexus has confirmed they will begin taking orders for the vessel later this year.
