Croatian automotive company Rimac has been hard at work jockeying for the mantle of quickest and fastest street-legal car manufacturer in the world. The fruit of their efforts is the C_Two EV hypercar. The model follows Rimac’s celebrated Concept_One, making good on its promises.

C_Two boasts a similar aesthetic as the Concept_One but also includes new additions like an advanced rear wing, dihedral doors, and aerodynamic wheels. The interior wows as well with six screens, three of which are TFT displays.

Rimac says its newest vehicle will achieve an incredible top speed of 258 mph, with a whopping 1,914 horses delivering 1,696 pound-feet of torque. All this power production results in a blink-of-the-eye zero-to-60 mph leap of just 1.85 seconds. If they’re on the level, they’ve actually broken the 2-second mark. As far as production cars are concerned, only the Gen. II Tesla Roadster has been there, and the C_Two appears to be a hair faster.

But the car isn’t just fast. The C_Two impresses as a grand-touring hypercar capable of traveling 404 miles on a single charge. Another standout feature is the vehicle’s unique active aero; like other high-end performance cars, it can change its aerodynamic profile depending on the handling needs.

Rimac presented the model at this year’s Geneva Auto Show earlier this month.

We certainly cannot ignore the 100-percent carbon-fiber body or the vehicle’s 120.0-kWh battery pack. Future drivers will also enjoy facial-recognition software in place of a traditional key and a number of semi-autonomous safety features.

Rimac only plans to produce 150 examples of the C_Two.
