About a month after listing and quickly selling their 6,000 square-foot duplex at 271 Central Park West, Bruce and Emma Willis are apparently planning on acquiring a new investment and personal residence: a 3,050 square-foot condo unit in One West End. The new purchase may have been prompted by the lightning-quick sale of the larger outgoing apartment; that property, priced at $17.75 million, went under contract after only about a week on the market.
Out with the old, and in with the newer: One West End was finished last year, and is a residential complex situated within Riverside Center. The glass tower rises to 42 stories, and contains 246 units.
At half the size, the new apartment promises easier upkeep for the couple, and is ideally located for a Manhattan getaway. The unit will presumably be the primary residence for the couple when they’re in city-mouse mode. Willis also owns a large, private estate in Bedford, New York.
The unit is a four bedroom, 4.5 bath flat. Like other recent upper-end high-rise developments, interior architecture and décor favors light, space, texture, and an uncluttered composition. The building features a 12,000 square-foot roof garden.
Action star Willis’ films this year keep the focus on action, and lots of it. ‘Acts of Violence’ has come and gone to on-demand, but a couple of other violent three-act actioners will follow in the coming months: ‘Death Wish’ and ‘The Bombing.’
