Luxury Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux has developed a beautiful new timepiece that’s as intriguing as it is dark.

The Laureato Skeleton Ceramic Watch blends minimal styling with the modern look of a skeleton face. What truly makes the watch stand out is the use of satin-brushed, PVD-treated black bridges and an exposed barrel with “Girard-Perregaux” etched on the bridge in gold.

Additional components like a balance wheel behind the 12 o’clock, an 18-karat pink gold rotor, and a sapphire exhibition caseback add to the watch’s uniquely masculine style. Thanks to broad hands each boasting a strip of luminescent material, the hands boldly stand out from the mechanical labors of the skeletonized dial behind, making it easy to tell the time.

The 42mm-wide, all-ceramic case holds a GP01800-0006 movement offering 54 hours of power reserve and water resistance of up to 328 feet.
