After renting it to Angelina Jolie for several months, Denise Richards has again listed the Hidden Hills property she’s had on and off the market for about two and a half years.
The price has been slowly whittled down to its current $5.995 million ask; Richards had initially offered the property for $7.7 million in June of 2015. Just before Ms. Jolie moved in for $30K/month—about a year ago now—it had been on the market for $6.9 million.
Expansive, well-landscaped, and private even by Hidden Hills standards, the property extends to 1.14 acres, and is grounded by an 8,284 square-foot traditional-style main house that dates to the early 1990’s.
The home’s interiors begin with a double-height foyer, and progress neatly through a series of living spaces and amenities which leave little to chance. The home is currently designed for entertaining, and features a living room/lounge with wet bar, very large kitchen with massive U-shaped island and vaulted ceiling, and wine tasting room; outdoor entertainment spaces include a pavilion, poolside grotto with fire feature, and an outdoor kitchen and dining area with fireplace. There are six en-suite bedrooms; the master includes a fireplace, and a large closet with dressing room.
Materials are solid and occasionally flashy, with an onyx fireplace gracing the living room. Hardwood floors—which may be hickory—and stone accents add a little grit to the home’s peculiar postmodernist design vision.
Richards was Bond girl Jones in ‘The World Is Not Enough’; she also starred in Verhoeven’s campy satire ‘Starship Troopers.’ This year she appeared in seven feature films, including ‘American Violence’ and the upcoming ‘The Toybox.’
