Luxury watchmaker Richard Mille has introduced its first timepiece crafted especially for cyclists.

The watch is a technical dazzler, and all enthusiasts of manual two-wheeled conveyance should read on. And, if you happen to be short a bike at present, Mille is one step ahead of you: not only is the RM 70-01 Tourbillon Alain Prost ideal for bicyclists, the watch even comes with a bike with purchase.

The special timepiece boasts a manually wound 3Hz tourbillon-escapement caliber RM07-01 movement with 70 hours of power reserve. The most unique feature, though, is likely the watch’s exterior. It’s designed with a special curved 49.48mm wide Carbon TPT case that looks as textured as layered Damascus steel.

Limited to just 30 examples, the innovative watch features an incremental digital counter much like an odometer: the dial comes with a panel of five rollers that cyclists can use to log miles and is designed to avoid accidental manipulations.

Richard Mille’s newest high-end sports watch is exclusively a “lefty” timepiece, meaning it is designed to be worn on the right wrist.  It is available now for $815,500, while limited supplies last.

Alain Prost is French a Formula One legend. He was nicknamed “The Professor” for his highly intelligent approach to racing. He won four Championships and help the record for most Grand Prix victories from 1987 to 2001.
