Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall has sold a West Hollywood home for $1.605 million.

The Los Angeles-area home is nestled in the Norma Triangle neighborhood and was picked up by his fourth wife, Luciana Pedraza, for $1.125 million back in 2008. Built in the 1920s, the 1,065-square-foot Spanish bungalow holds two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a lot of exterior charm.

Although small, the house features the nifty layout and warmth of the period and style. High ceilings, caramel-colored hardwood floors, and stone countertops in the kitchen distinguish the revised home. A modern combination living/dining room and a neutral kitchen with stainless steel appliances show the extent of recent renovations, and open the little residence up nicely.

Outside, in addition to a one-car garage that’s been converted into a separate living space, there’s also a fenced patio, a small backyard, and three separate brick-paved spaces perfect for an al fresco meal.

Duvall is best known for his roles in “Apocalypse Now” and “The Godfather,” although his role as sociopathic hatchet man Hackett in Lumet’s “Network,” and that of the insensitive family man in “The Great Santini,” also stand out among great film performances of the 1970’s. He’s received seven Oscar nominations and secured a Best Actor win for his role in “Tender Mercies.”

Pedraza is a respected actress and director. The couple owns a number of properties across the country.
