A home that once belonged to Hollywood producer and director Michael Bay has just found a new owner for $7.2 million. Bay is best known for directing smart, slam-bang actioners ‘The Rock,’ ‘Armageddon,’ and the ‘Transformers’ franchise.

Bay sold the Montecito manse to its current seller for $4.9 million back in 2012. Designed by architect Jan Hochhauser, the 6,551-square-foot home features an ultra-modern and contemporary aesthetic. A few graceful angles sneak into the interior architecture, adding a bit of grace and levity.

The home holds a large two-story great room with a fireplace, walls of windows, and sliding glass doors, which all contribute to the light and airy feel of the space. The new owner will also enjoy the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the nearby mountains.

Complete with four bedrooms and seven baths, there’s plenty of room for a family or simply for a couple who enjoys entertaining. Guests will especially appreciate the vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and the swimming pool and cabana out back.

The most recent entry in the ‘Transformers’ series, ‘The Last Knight,’ was one of this summer’s blockbusters, grossing over $600 million worldwide.
