Audio-Technica has just introduced its newest flagship headphones, the ATH-ADX5000. And these ‘phones don’t disappoint.
The model is similar to the brand’s previous flagship, the ATH-AD2000X, but the new iteration boasts a number of upgrades. The newly designed headphones feature AT’s new 58mm tungsten-coated drivers, as well as soft pads for easy listening, and an ultra-soft headband sheathed in Alcantara. The ‘phones are hand-assembled in Tokyo.
The Japanese audio brand opted for an open-back design that gives the headphones a modern and stylish look. And digital-age audiophiles may wish to pair their new set with one of Audio-Technica’s powerful amplifiers, which deliver the 420 ohms necessary to drive them.
Each unit is hand-assembled in Tokyo and given a unique, laser-etched serial number. Available for $1,999, the all-new ATH-ADX5000 Headphones come in an ultra-durable, briefcase-style protective case, and will be ready to ship in November.
