Luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen has just introduced its newest creation, the BeoLab 50 Speaker.
A polished aluminum exterior meets with oak wood lamellas, giving the units the characteristically beautiful, understated Scandinavian aesthetic. And the powerful, nuanced B&O sound is there, too: each speaker in the set is outfitted with seven drivers paired with seven 300-watt amplifiers.
Those impressive drivers include three 4-inch midrange, three 10-inch woofers, and one 0.74-inch tweeter.
The company is calling the Beolab 50 its first “loudspeaker.” The new creation even utilizes some of the tech from the BeoLab 90, including Active Room Compensation and Acoustic Lens technology for optimal sound. Onboard ‘Room Tuning’ software can customize the speaker’s performance to suit the acoustics of an individual space.
The BeoLab 50 speaker pair is available for $39,170.
