Canyon Bicycles has paired with German electronica pioneers Kraftwerk to develop a unique new bike. As it pays homage to the synth masters, the model is called the Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk. The bike will only be made in a limited run of 21 examples.

While the new creation looks as if it’s designed for the grid in ‘Tron,’ the Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk is meant not only for fans of sci-fi or ARP soundscapes, but for serious riders.

“Kraftwerk and cycling have a special and unique connection—their music, and all that they do, has inspired our work at Canyon in so many ways across the years,” said Canyon Founder and CEO, Roman Arnold.

The limited collection displays Arnold’s admiration for Kraftwerk’s influence with a complex black-and-white geometric design. In order to create the look, each reflective strip is cut to size and hand-laid, taking about seven hours to complete on each bike.

Each of the limited-edition bicycles also boasts advanced elements like the SRAM wireless eTap groupset, a proprietary 128-bit wireless encryption system, and small satellite shifter buttons.

Unfortunately, all 21 examples of Canyon’s Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk bike are already sold out.
