Rediscovered in 2004, Graphene has been getting a lot of press the last decade. One the most amazing materials in the world, applications for the versatile material continue to be found. Audio brand ORA has found one of their own, and created the first ever set of Graphene headphones.

Graphene is remarkable for its flexibility and strength: 200 times stronger than steel, but still malleable. The material is also ultra light. Future applications appear to be nearly endless.

ORA, a Canadian startup, designed the GQ headphones with incredibly high-performance music production abilities thanks to Graphene membranes. In addition to the 95% Graphene drivers (what ORA calls ‘GrapheneQ’), wooden ear cups isolate outside noise so pure, extended-frequency sound is produced. The special material also extends battery life up to 70 percent.

Other design elements, like wireless connectivity and a gesture-controlled trackpad, enhance the exclusive new headphones.
