French fashion house Chanel has just introduced its first unisex watch as part of its Chanel J12 watch collection.
First introduced in 1999, the watch range is known for its clean lines and blending of masculine and feminine influences. As Chanel’s first unisex watch, the new Mademoiselle J12 fits right in with the iconic line.
The ceramic timepiece boasts a strikingly clean look with a bold cartoon Coco Chanel silhouette on the dial. Her stylishly outfitted arms indicate the hours and minutes, and the representation evokes Hergé.
Although the Mademoiselle J12 was unveiled earlier this year at Baselworld, it’s continuing to garner attention. Featuring the classically cute Coco set on radiant, reflective ceramic, the timepiece manages to honor the brand’s heritage, while still maintaining a modern aesthetic.
Of course, the complication itself is impressive, too, with a 42-hour power reserve and more than 650 feet of water resistance.
Chanel’s 38mm watch is available for $7,575 in black or white, and in a limited production run of 555 pieces.
