Marilyn Monroe’s former estate is off the market, having sold for $7.25 million.

The 1929-built Brentwood, California, home was the only property Monroe owned independently of a husband. She purchased the house after her divorce from Arthur Miller in the early 1960s.

It should come as no surprise that it sold for $325,000 above the asking price. The home’s celebrity pedigree is an unusual one, and the home itself is charming.

The hacienda-style house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and spans 2,624 square feet. Complete with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, Monroe’s prior home features beamed ceilings, Saltillo tile floors, and a formal living room with a southwestern-style fireplace.

Outside, there’s a guest house, a small citrus grove, a brick patio, and a swimming pool for lounging with guests.

The actress died at just 36, and is best known today for her roles in “Some Like it Hot” and “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.”
