East Coast Defender Turns a Land Rover Defender 130 into a ‘Huntress’

East Coast Defender has done it again with another special Land Rover build based off of a Defender 130. The Florida company has called their latest project “The Huntress.” Artemis would be proud.

ECD took the Defender to a whole new level by adding a 6.2-liter Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine that pushes 430 horsepower. A new six-speed automatic transmission makes The Huntress a true pleasure to drive.

The Huntress gets an additional two inches of clearance thanks to a new kit and 18-inch Boost wheels outfitted with BFGoodrich tires. Add the tubular WARN winch, and the Defender becomes The Huntress, with assistance: ready to tackle workload, or road or wilderness terrain with a cool head.

The interior is fairly striking. ECD used locally-sourced alligator skin seats paired with brown leather accents throughout the cabin, and they give the vehicle a little upscale tropical cred. A new custom Morel speaker system paired with a Kenwood infotainment system keeps the classic up-to-date.

Sadly, for those who have fallen in love, The Huntress already has an owner.
