Basil Iwanyk, the founder of Thunder Road Pictures, has put a home in Los Angeles up for sale. Iwanyk has set the asking price of the Brentwood property at $5.35 million.
The 1937-built Monterey Colonial-style house is located on a gated half acre, nestled in a verdant, park-like lot amid lawns and mature trees.
The home measures in at over 4,600 square feet with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an office, a den, a formal dining room, a large fireplace-laden living room, and a contemporary kitchen boasting a marble-topped banquet table. The home contains a few charming period details, and a pleasing blend of materials.
One side of the house features a wrap-around balcony that offers views of the grounds. The other side boasts a sun room with French doors opening up to the backyard to create an indoor-outdoor aesthetic that’s perfect for entertaining.
The outdoors portion of the property includes a treehouse, patios perfect for lounging, a built-in barbecue station, and a kidney-shaped swimming pool.
Iwanyk scooped up the estate for $4.895 million ten years ago. Among the property’s former owners is Susan Disney Lord, the granddaughter of Roy. O Disney (Walt Disney’s brother).
The 47-year-old Iwanyk has produced the film “Brooklyn’s Finest,” “The Town,” “Sicario,” “John Wick,” and “John Wick: Chapter 2.”
