Honda’s Miimo robotic lawn mower has enjoyed a successful run in Europe, and now the Japanese brand is bringing its grass-trimming Roomba-like device stateside, just in time for the green season.

Honda will offer U.S. customers two Miimo models: the HRM 310, with the ability to handle lawns up to 0.5 acres, and the larger HRM 520, which can mow up to 0.75 acres.

The first Honda-made robotic mower released in the United States comes with a microcomputer, timer, and sensors so the user can mow their lawn in a battery-powered, eco-friendly manner. The settings can also be adjusted to accommodate for day or night mowing, seasonal frequency, and more.

The initial setup for the Miimo mowers entails installing boundary wires to ensure the device learns the mowing parameters. However, Honda will take on this task for the owner if they choose not to do it for themselves.

Miimo also offers a number of cutting modes and options to create the desired lawn effect, and help ensure that target areas are handled appropriately.

The Miimo 310 runs for half an hour, while the larger 520 model offers an hour of continuous operation time. Charging times are as long as mow run times.

Beginning in June, Miimo models are available everywhere in America, except California, via Honda Power Equipment dealers. The HRM 310 starts at $2,499, with the larger HRM 520 is available for $2,799.
