The Studio Fifield designed and Allsteel manufactured office chair dubbed Mimeo has picked up a bit of hardware itself. The honor comes in the form of the 2017 Green Good Design Award, given by The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

Mimeo is crafted out of a 100 percent post-consumer recycled polymer that is featured in the back frame, the base, and back carriers. This results in 39 percent post-consumer recycled content in the whole of the chair.

Studio Fifield designed modern materials were crafted to resemble a human body. The IntelliForm back structure serves as the spine, the 3D knit material for the back is the skin, the polymer back serves as the muscles, and the back uprights act as the bones.

The Green Good Design Award follows the same track as the Good Design Award, which was founded in 1950 by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kauffman Jr. to promote a better understanding of Modern Design for the public.
