There are many properties on the Hawaiian island of Maui for sale, but none is so stunning as the 27-acre botanical garden dubbed as the “Garden of Eden” in Haiku, Hawaii, that has been listed for $20 million.

The current owner, landscape designer and arborist Alan Bradbury, has been planting and growing the majestic space since he purchased the property in 1991.

The Garden of Eden is actually open to the public and now takes a dedicated staff to manage Bradbury’s expansive botanical creation.

In the Garden of Eden is a modest redwood-lined plantation-style home. This main house could be expanded or another house could be built on the expansive plot.

Should the new owners decide to continue using the Garden of Eden as a tourist destination, everything is already set up for them. The special giant garden with over 700 rare and exotic plant species and two rainbow-ready waterfalls sees about 300 visitors a day with a current entry fee of $15 per person.

If the next owner decides to make it just a live-in property they will join the likes of nearby Clint Eastwood and Oprah Winfrey as celebrities who have private paradises.
