Retired MLB pitcher Kevin Appier played his first and final MLB games in his 16-year career with the Kansas City Royals, and now he is looking to move on from his expansive ranch estate in Paola, Kansas.

Appier’s 185-acre plot with its log cabin-style main house, manager’s house, 17-acre fishing lake, and notable horse barn has been listed for $4.5 million. And for those looking to expand even further into the Kansas country side, there is also an extra 245 acres of adjacent land for sale.

The main house rests on a bluff overlooking the grand fishing lake and offers views of the rolling hills and water. The 8,500-square foot “cabin” was built with Douglas fir logs and boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Bonus rooms of the manse include a game room, an office, a gym, and a wine vault.

Appier played for the Royals, Oakland Athletics, New York Mets, and then-Anaheim Angels during his professional career. The 48-year-old was an All-Star in 1995 and retired with 169 wins, 1,994 strikeouts, and an ERA of 3.74. In 2002 he was on the Angels team that won the World Series.
