Hollywood executive Chris McGurk has had success in the entertainment industry, but the Malibu real estate market has been a bit harsh on him, as seen with his recent $6.95 million sale of his now-former contemporary Marshall Lewis-designed beach house.

McGurk had the 5,700-square-foot home on and off the market over a period of five years, and the almost $7-million sale price is much less than the $12.5 million the Cinedigm Chairman and CEO sought for the property at one point. McGurk’s last asking price for the Malibu estate was $7.95 million before he accepted a million bucks less for the house.

The property is in a gated area of El Matador State beach and includes 65-feet of spectacular beach frontage.

The three-story home boasts six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It also boasts a rare addition for a waterfront Malibu property: an indoor swimming pool that comes with a spa, a sauna, and a steam shower.

McGurk also offloaded his Tudor-style manse located near the famous Beverly Hills Hotel in an off-market deal that made him $16.5 million.
