A massive estate on Star Island in Miami has been listed for $65 million. The renovated home holds 40 rooms and has been renovated with style in mind.
The $65-million asking price makes the property one of the most expensive homes currently on the market in Miami-Dade County.
The 1920s built Mediterranean-style main house is situated on a 1.5-acre lot that includes 255 feet of water frontage on Biscayne Bay and measures in at 18,400 square feet, boasting 10 bedrooms and the original intricately carved wood ceiling.
Other features of the palatial property include mature palm trees and 30-foot hedges to provide privacy, a swimming pool complete with an outdoor cabana, two private docks, a boat lift, and a pair of living areas for staff that includes their own living rooms and kitchens.
The seller, Marco Iacovelli, purchased the estate in the late 1980s for just $1.8 million. His daughter, Alexa, is one of the listing agents at One Sotheby’s International Realty.
