Hewlett-Packard’s new Envy 27 desktop computer isn’t made to be another hideaway desktop computer. In fact, the all-in-one machine was designed more like a television than a desktop in order to make it the focal point of whatever room it is in.

Instead of packing the hardware into the actual monitor like most all-in-one desktops commonly do, HP as placed all of the actual computer components in the base of the display to make the super-large 27-inch 4K IPS screen as slim as possible.

That doesn’t mean that the American computer brand compromised on the goodies. Amazingly, there is a Bang & Olufsen sound bar factored into the design to provide supreme sound to go with the range-topping display screen.

Interested parties can select between the latest iteration quad-core Intel i5 or i7 processors supported by up to 16 GB of DDR4 memory. Gamers will be excited to know they have the option of adding an Nvidia GTX950M graphics card with an additional 4 GB of GDDR5 video RAM to account for the newest computer games.

The Envy 27’s base connects to the display via HDMI. There is a number of USB 3.0 connectors, and USB-C connectivity has been built-in as well.

The storage is a hybrid SSD/HDD system, with options ranging all the way up to a 256 GB/2 TB combination.

The HP Envy 27 starts at $1,299.
