Corum’s original Golden Bridge timepiece came out in the 1980s and boasted a long and rectangular case and a bespoke baguette movement. It joined the Swiss watchmaker’s Bubble and Coin watches as immediate staples of the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based shop.

When the company took to BaselWorld this year, most of the focus was on the plethora of Bubble models they’d introduced, but part of the show was dedicated to its new Golden Bridge Round watch that was made as a special anniversary edition and will come out in an extremely limited production run.

Designed by Dino Modolo, the Golden Bridge Round timepiece serves as a tribute to San Francisco’s famous Golden Gate Bridge. With rose gold sculptures down the side of the movement that mimic the lattice frameworks of that icon of American engineering, the Golden Bridge watch is not just a timepiece, it is truly a piece of art.

Complete with a manual-winding Corum Calibre C01133 movement that boasts a 40-hour power reserve, a 100-plus foot water resistance, and a brown alligator leather strap, the Golden Bridge Round is not for the average collector.
