Hennessey Performance Engineering is celebrating its 25th anniversary in style with a special edition Ford Mustang that exudes the excellence that comes from the company’s quarter-century of tuning experience.

The Hennessey 25th Anniversary Edition HPE800 Ford Mustang wows with 278 more horsepower and an additional 219 pound-feet of torque than the stock model it is based on.

Thanks to its gigantic 5-liter, HPE800 supercharged V8 engine, the Hennessey 25th Anniversary Edition makes an incredible 804 hp and 648 pound-feet of twist. This means the customized Mustang can run the zero-to-60 mph sprint in only 3.1 seconds and race to a top speed of 208 mph.

The extra horsepower and torque come from a combination of a 2.9-liter supercharger system and a performance package including upgraded fuel injectors and new pump and exhaust systems.

But speed isn’t all about engine parts, so Hennessey is tossing on its CarbonAero front splitter, rear-lip spoiler, and side sills to improve the aerodynamics of the Mustang.

Cost details are not yet available, but it is known that the Houston-based tuning house will only make a very fitting 25 examples of the 25th Anniversary Edition HPE800 Mustang.
