In response to its sold-out, limited edition Burnham GMT, Oak & Oscar has created its new Sandford GMT, which carries a similar design as its popular predecessor and continues the rustic aesthetic of the Ohio-based company.

The GMT is fittingly named for Sandford Fleming, a key figure in the creation of the Canadian railway system and a promoter of standardized time zones.

Oak & Oscar’s new Sandford GMT comes in the form of a 40mm wide timepiece in either brushed steel or a charcoal PVD finish with a height of just 12mm. The watch face is read through a double-domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and boasts a water resistance of just under 330 feet.

Like the Burnham before it, the Sandford GMT has a charcoal gray sandwich dial that features a Super-LumiNova sub layer, which, when paired with the Super-LumiNova-coated hands, creates an easy-to-read face with Oak & Oscar’s name and the “Stonehenge effect” logo situated just below the 12 o’clock.

The movement of the timepiece from the American brand is a Swiss-made Soprod C125 automatic caliber that boasts a 42-hour power reserve and can be seen through a sapphire crystal caseback.

Oak & Oscar’s Sandford GMT is attached to a Horween leather strap, and it also comes with a green nylon strap for when owners are looking to switch things up. Another cool highlight is a Defy Mfg Co. watch wallet made out of the same Horween leather as the strap, and it comes with the watch and has room to store and protect up to three watches. This was also a feature of the Burnham model from O & O.

The Sandford GMT is available for pre-order with the brushed steel edition selling for $1,750 and the PVD example earning an $1,850 price tag. Both versions of the timepiece will retail for $100 more than their respective pre-order prices, if they last that long.
