American media mogul Rupert Murdoch may have his hands full at the moment, in light of Fox News Chief Roger Ailes’ resignation, but that hasn’t kept him from flipping a West Village townhouse for a $2.5 million profit.
The billionaire businessman unloaded his 6,500-square-foot New York manse for $27.5 million. Murdoch dealing in luxury real estate should come as no surprise, but the speed at which he flipped the property is impressive. He acquired the townhouse at 278 West 11th Street in March of 2015 for $25 million, but he never lived in the property and quickly put it on the market a little more than a year later.
The impressive mansion is super-luxurious with a sweeping staircase, an awe-inspiring chandelier, herringbone floors, and a four-passenger elevator. With four bedrooms and seven bathrooms, added amenities like white macuba quartzite countertops and backsplash, a Siberian white marble fireplace, and a Poggenpohl kitchen with Miele appliances, the place is drenched in luxurious style.
