Google bought the restaurant review company Zagat back in 2011, and since then the tech giant has given it a reboot with a new website, a mobile companion app, and Google Maps integration.
Now it’s Zagat’s new app that’s garnering the most attention with a huge iPhone update. The upgrade is said to be so good that users will be able to exclusively use this app to discover new places to eat.
Zagat’s app is getting smarter by the day and can now recommend restaurants based on the time of day and the user’s location. The upgrades also come with a sleek new magazine-style look for a cleaner more modern aesthetic.
Users will simply be able to open the app and receive lunch recommendations, locations for “quick bites,” and even coffee spots. It also includes neighborhood maps and Zagat’s editorial reviews all wrapped up in an easy-to-use format.
