Empire star Taraji P. Henson has put her 4,202-square-foot Hollywood Hills home back on the market with an asking price of $3 million. The actress, who plays cutthroat matriarch Cookie Lyon on the Fox drama series, has had the property on and off the market since last December, beginning with an ask of $3.25 million, before dropping to the current price and experimenting with a leas offering at $12,000 a month. So far, she’s had no luck filling the Moorish three-story, which she purchased in March 2010 for $1.7 million.

The house is full of custom conversions with one of the four en suite bedrooms transformed into a celeb-worthy dressing room, complete with shoe racks, mirrored wardrobes and a shampoo station with barber’s chair. One of the three separate ground floor garage bays has also been converted into a gym with mirrored wall and ballet rail.

The second-level dining room includes a petite lounge area and opens to a center-islanded kitchen with stainless steel appliances and intricately carved, wooden cabinets, while the adjacent living/game room includes a wet bar, a stone fireplace and a balconied terrace.

The top-floor master suite also gets the fireplace-terrace combination, as well as a master bath with steam shower and soaking tub. Among the other amenities are a petite media center with theatre seats and a two-level backyard with privacy hedges, a spa and a fire pit.

Henson, whose breakthrough came opposite Tyrese Gibson in 2001’s Baby Boy, has earned Critic’s Choice and Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy nomination for her role on Empire, earning a spot on this year’s Time 100 as one of the most influential people in the world.
