Heisman-winning quarterback Matt Leinart has just purchased a Los Angeles home for $2.245 million.
The former professional football player’s new home is located in Manhattan Beach near Mira Costa High School, and the two-story home spans roughly 3,600 square feet. It’s quite an upgrade from the 2,135-square-foot house Leinart sold last year.
In addition to five bedrooms and four bathrooms inside, the home sports added features fit for an NFL star, like a tetherball pole, a lighted basketball half-court, and a swimming pool and spa.
Leinart’s new home was built in 1995 and is accented with chandeliers, wide-plank wood floors, vaulted ceilings. The living room features a fireplace and opens to a formal dining room with an adjacent center-island kitchen.
The former first-round draft pick won his Heisman Trophy as part of the USC Trojans. He ended his career in 2014 after six seasons with the Houston Texans, Oakland Raiders, and Arizona Cardinals.
