Audio brand Bose has created a variety of impressive speakers and audio products, but now the company has created a new product where kids can build their own Bluetooth speaker.
The new Bosebuild Speaker Cube has been developed for children eight and up with the intent of giving them a more thorough understanding of modern audio technology and how it works. Bose’s compact speaker can be assembled without any special equipment or tools.
In fact, it’s designed to be put together without the help of mom or dad. Thanks to the iOS application, kids can get the simple instructions straight from the app.
All connectors are clearly labeled, and the internal pieces are made to withstand rough handling from younger hands. The product is a simple, customizable cube with different colored LED lighting.
Available for $150, Bose claims that the cuboid speaker produces the same sound quality as its other products, and music can be played with a 3.5-mm audio jack or through Bluetooth. However, the companion app is currently only compatible with Apple devices.
