Rose gold is everywhere these days, from MacBooks to red carpet dye jobs. But with Tom Ford’s latest release, you won’t have to set a salon appointment to get 2016’s hottest metal on your head. Ford’s special edition rose gold-dipped sunglasses do the trick every bit as well.

Ford’s glasses line is known for their distinguished materials, but the Italian-made frames of his Gold Plated Sunglasses take things to the next level. The design features Ford’s embossed “T” logo at the temples, a gold-plated foldable clip-on attachment, and soft round lenses in a smart green with 100% UV Protection.

Ford made waves in 2004 for stepping down as Creative Director of Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent after helping revive the brands in his fifteen years with the Gucci Group.

In 2006, he started his namesake brand and quickly became a household name, thanks partly to high-profile fans like Drake, Jay Z and Johnny Depp, who can often be seen in Ford-designed suits on the red carpet. Ford is also a film director, having been nominated for a Cannes Golden Lion for his feature debut, A Single Man. His second film, Nocturnal Animals is due out this November.

In the meantime, we’ll have to content ourselves with rocking the iconic designs of the 55-year-old jack-of-all-trades. At $1,950 a pair, the Tom Ford Gold Plated Sunglasses are yet another example of Ford’s tasteful mingling of the bold and the timeless.
