Demi Moore Knocks $16M off Asking Price of New York Triplex

Actress Demi Moore has just reduced the price of her lavish San Remo triplex by $16 million to $59 million. The impressive home has been on the market for 15 months without movement after originally being listed at $75 million.

The 17-room luxe penthouse on Central Park West would more than double the current record for San Remo’s most expensive sale if it’s scooped up for its asking price. Certainly, Moore hopes it will sell since it’s costing the actress around $20,000/month in fees just to maintain the penthouse and ground-floor two-bedroom unit that’s included in the sale.

Last year Moore told the Times that she was trying to unload the apartment because it is “too magnificent not to be lived in full time.” With towering ceilings, wood floors and panelling, and city views that normally cost $20 a person to behold, she doesn’t seem to be off base.

The star and her actor ex-husband Bruce Willis bought the 7,000-square-foot penthouse from Saturday Night Fever producer Robert Stigwood back in 1990, and previous occupants of the same building have included Donna Karan, Steven Spielberg, Diane Keaton, Steve Jobs, and Dustin Hoffman, just to name a few.
