Maserati wasn’t messing around when it went back to the drawing board to create its new 2017 Quattroporte. The vehicle features a light restyling on the outside and brand new tech features on the inside to keep up with its luxury sedan market rivals.

The updated design of the Quattroporte jumps out right away with a new front bumper and a toothy grill. The design language follows the trend seen in its popular Alfieri concept car, which was first displayed at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show. The grill also boasts the same active shutters as the one on Maserati’s Levante SUV, which shut to reduce drag by up to 10 percent when maximum airflow to the engine isn’t needed.

Maserati also gave the 2017 Quattroporte a new rear bumper and matte black trim on the exterior mirrors and side skirts to complete the updated look.

The biggest upgrade, however, is found in the interior of the Quattroporte. The sedan has been given a new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The Quattroporte also includes new driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and automated emergency braking. There is also an option to add a surround-view camera system.

Maserati will likely keep the same engine choices of either a V6 or a V8, but no specs have been revealed yet. The company is accepting orders for the Quattroporte in Europe and has said that U.S. pricing will be available soon.
