“Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker has just bought more than another pair of Manolo Blahniks. In fact, the actress best known for her role as columnist Carrie Bradshaw and her husband, actor Matthew Broderick, just bought two adjacent NYC townhouses for $35.5 million.
Located in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, the neighboring properties combined total an impressive 14,000 square feet. The unique combination was originally valued by some at $44 million, so the couple was lucky to scoop up the whisper-listed real estate for such a good price.
Previously owned by the United Methodist Women since the 1920s, if combined, the townhouses would be quite the luxurious estate, complete with a 2,100-square-foot garden.
This isn’t the first big real estate purchase for the couple who flipped an East 10th Street townhouse last July for a little more than $18.25 million. It’s also believed that the celebrity couple own three homes in the Hamptons and a townhouse in Brooklyn Heights.
Fans of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda will be happy to hear that Parker is returning to HBO this fall for her new comedy, “Divorce.”
