The penthouse of late American novelist Tom Clancy is now on the market and available at a reduced price. The cost of the Baltimore home has been cut by nearly a third from its original listing price of $12 million to its new price of $8.7 million.
The “Clear and Present Danger” author’s past digs have been reduced to take advantage of the busy spring market and because Clancy’s widow, Alexandra, is hoping to move out soon.
Spanning 12,000 square feet, the Ritz-Carlton Residences penthouse holds five bedrooms across four combined apartments and is located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The Clancys purchased three units at once for $12.6 million back in 2009 and bought three additional units for around $4 million.
Four of the six purchased units were used to create the penthouse, and the other two units are currently being leased.
