As the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio draws near, athletes and brands alike are in preparation. In fact, Polo Ralph Lauren, the official outfitter for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams, has unveiled its Team USA Collection.
In preparation for the games that begin on August 5, the new uniforms have been released for the opening and closing ceremonies. Team USA competitors will be decked out in preppy red-white-and-blue looks that capture an Americana aesthetic.
A few of those athletes include champion wrestler Jordan Burroughs, silver medalist swimmer Haley Anderson, and 11-time Olympic medalist swimmer Ryan Lochte.
Pieces from the co-ed collection are made in the U.S. and are also available to purchase for the public, including twill shorts for $98.50, men’s leather boat shoes priced at $350, and oxford button-down shirts for $145.
Of course, the Americans aren’t the only ones bringing their fashion A-game. The British team is wearing Stella McCartney for Adidas, the French will be in Lacoste, and the Canadians will be in Dsquared2. Interestingly, the South Korean athletes will be wearing specially designed mosquito-repellent uniforms made to protect against the Zika virus.
