Italian furniture brand Moroso launched its 2016 collection at this year’s Salone del Mobile furniture fair, and the new line is just as bold as expected with a transformable sofa with bean-shaped cushions and a chair inspired by a dreamcatcher.

Nine designers have contributed pieces to the collection, including Stockholm studio Front, American architect Daniel Libeskind, Dutch design duo Scholten & Baijings, and Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola.

The Triclinium sofa is described as a “landscape of upholstery” and sports an attachable side table that can be transformed into a sofa bed. It also has cushions made from woven rope and is fit for an outdoor daybed.

There’s also Front’s newest creation unveiled at the fair, the unique sofa that features a collection of bean-shaped cushions to form its backrest.

One of the other standouts from the new collection is Marc Thorpe’s Baobab table that’s based on a tree commonly found in Africa. With a colorful woven base and a flat black top, the table can easily be the center of any room.

Additionally, London studio Doshi Levien designed Armada, a sculptural seating collection, with billowy arms and a completely unique aesthetic. In an interview, the studio’s founders mentioned that Moroso was one of only a handful of Italian furniture companies willing to take a risk on their unique pieces.
