Goodbye, selfie sticks. IoT Group has created a more futuristic way of documenting a person’s daily life with its new ROAM-e mini-drone.
The Australian company’s drone is programmed with facial recognition technology, which allows it to follow the user at a range of just over 80 feet. It has the capability to take pictures, 360-degree panorama photos, and even stream live video.
The ROAM-e has a frameless body that boasts a five-megapixel CMOS sensor and a quad-core ARM cortex A7 microprocessor. The mini-drone has collapsible rotors, a water bottle-shaped body, and a fast-charging battery, which is interchangeable and can keep the ROAM-e airborne for up to 20 minutes.
The ROAM-e can be paired with any smartphone to record any situation in its owner’s life better than ever before for a cost of just over $300.
