Fresh off of his fourth marriage, media baron Rupert Murdoch has re-listed his West Village townhome in New York City for $28.9 million.
Murdoch, whose net worth is north of $12 billion, purchased the 25-foot wide townhouse in March of 2015 for $25 million and spruced the place up a bit before listing it just five months later. Murdoch recently pulled the home off the market when he and Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger’s ex-wife, tied the knot in March of this year.
The 1850s, Greek-revival pad has a red brick exterior and a finely refined interior with herringbone-pattern wood floors, black lacquered woodwork, and not one, not two, but three marble fireplaces. A curved staircase or four-person elevator will take the future owner to all six floors, including the rooftop terrace and basement.
The master suite takes up the entire third floor, and the fourth floor is comprised of two large family bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. In total, there are four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and three half baths in the completely decked-out abode.
The octogenarian Murdoch still owns a luxurious London apartment, a sprawling estate near Melbourne, Australia, and a home on a 16-acre parcel in Los Angeles that he dished out $28.8 million for back in 2013.
