The BMW 7 series, flagship model for the German automaker, earned the 2016 World Luxury Car Award at the 2016 New York Auto Show.
Launched in the fall, the 2016 7 series features a lightweight frame and design in addition to comfort and connectivity unlike anything before seen in the premium car market.
Dr. Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management, said, “With its many technical innovations, including gesture control and laser lights, there can be no doubt that the new BMW 7 Series is an outstanding flagship for the brand, setting new standards in its class.”
With brand new technologies built into the 7 Series like Gesture Control and Wireless Charging and Display, the amenities on the inside match the beauty on the exterior, which also includes an Active Kidney Grill for the first time in the U.S. market.
The World Car jurors said of the award-winning vehicle: “This is the flagship model for the Bavarian car maker, and so it simply has to be the epitome of what the brand represents in terms of technology, design, and performance. And the new 7 Series certainly delivers. It is very much the new face of BMW in the new family design – and yet it is a classic BMW all at once.”
