Donald Trump might claim that he wants to “make America great again,” but his patriotic sentiment doesn’t extend to the luxury market. Based off a statement he made in his book, “Think Like a Billionaire,” the presidential candidate admits that most of the world’s finer items are made abroad.

For example, his favorite cars aren’t manufactured in the U.S., unsurprisingly. According to Trump, the best vehicles on the market are Mercedes, Lamborghini, and Ferrari.

“My favorite car is a Mercedes. I’ve had one for a long time, and it’s reliable, elegant, and sturdy all at once,” Trump wrote in his book. “I have no complaints about my Mercedes. It’s never disappointed me. The cars are not temperamental, and they make my life easier. Mercedes cars are also great because they are classy without being ostentatious. I also have a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, and a bunch of other cars in different places.”

Another example of a foreign best are the Italian-made suits, shirts, and ties of Brioni, which is a French-owned company. Trump does make sure to throw in the disclaimer that Brioni “graciously supplies” him with his clothing for “The Apprentice.”

About the only American companies Trump does prefer are credit card lenders Visa and American Express. Oh, and, according to him, the best shampoo is Head and Shoulders, which is made by Procter & Gamble, an American multinational. Interestingly, the company was founded by William Procter and James Gamble, both from the United Kingdom. It’s a small win, but hey, we’ll take it.
