In 2005 Gumpert was the talk of the town in the supercar industry when its Apollo made its debut with 640 horsepower, a top speed of just under 224 mph, and an aggressive aerodynamic body. Unfortunately, even after all that buzz, the German manufacturer was forced to file for bankruptcy in 2013.

Now just three years later Ideal Team Venture of China has pulled Roland Gumpert and his company from the brink and the brand was able to show off its new model, the Apollo Arrow, at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show.

Just like Gumpert’s last model, the Apollo Arrow has truly insane performance specifications and has wowed the industry with yet another example of impressively sculpted body work. This time around the supercar is powered by a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 from Audi that pushes out 1,000 horses and packs 738 pound-feet of torque into a sequential seven-speed transmission.

With the power highlighted above and an ultra-light curb weight of less than 2,866 pounds, the Apollo Arrow has a zero-to-60 mph time of less than 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 223 mph.

Gumpert hasn’t released pricing information yet, but it is expected to fall under $1 million.
