Household smart tech is continually evolving. Samsung has just unveiled a new fridge with a bevy of techy features at CES 2016.
Samsung’s 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with Family Hub improved on the previous model with a larger, 21.5-inch HD LCD screen. Hoping to make the refrigerator multipurpose, Samsung added an improved calendar app and the ability to digitally display family photos and notes.
With the ability to mirror a Samsung TV (so you don’t miss a big play) and proximity sensors so the screen turns off when unused, it will make daily life a little easier and maybe even more fun. The new setup also sports some third-party capabilities like grocery ordering on Instacart.
There is even an app that allows you to scan a barcode to add an item to their digital grocery list. Priced at more than $5,000, Samsung is focused on integrating the new tech into customers’ daily lives.
