Piaget has created an incredible new watch in honor of the 40th anniversary of its first in-house quartz movement. Featuring a non-traditional face, the Emperador Coussin XL 700P is priced at $71,000 and sports the intricate work expected of the brand.
Created in limited numbers, the new timepiece sports a hybrid quartz/mechanical caliber with a conventional mechanical going train driven by a micro rotor in charge of winding the mainspring. It also uses a generator controlled by a quartz timing package.
Dark and sleek with a 46.5-mm case in white gold, the unique bezel is black but the generator and micro-rotor are lined in white gold. The watch itself measures in at 5.5 mm by 34.90 mm with a timeless style fit for any wearer.
Interested customers should act fast since only 118 pieces will be made.
