Space exploration has long been a dream of people all around the world, but becoming an astronaut isn’t an option for all. Now those enamored with space have the opportunity to spend 10 days on the International Space Station (ISS).
What was once only a dream or fantasy from books is now available for $52 million. Those who can afford a ticket will be able to zoom nearly 250 miles from Earth. Those longing for deeper space will soon be able to fly past the Moon for $150 million.
Travelers headed to the ISS will fly aboard the Russian-built Soyuz spacecraft and will report for training outside Moscow to prepare for the trip. Training is similar to that of professional astronauts and customers will be prepared to complete a spacewalk and fly the spacecraft.
The lucky space travelers will move at an incredible 17,398 mph when approaching Earth’s orbit and will join the ranks of only eight other tourists to make the trek.
